Application:
1. Used as an intermediate in organic synthesis. It is employed in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals—such as the drug —as well as soil fumigants. It also serves as a modifier for engineering plastics; specifically, its trisodium salt acts as an excellent heat stabilizer for polyvinyl chloride (PVC), while its esters function as important additives for polymers.
2. An intermediate in organic synthesis—for instance, in the production of pharmaceuticals such as *Youjiangning*—and is also utilized in the preparation of soil fumigants.
3. 3-Chloropropyne is a three-carbon alkylating agent. It also functions as a synthetic equivalent for the acetonyl carbene ion and as a cycloaddition reagent; furthermore, when converted into an organometallic reagent, it serves as a nucleophilic source for propargyl or allenyl groups.
Transportation: Load gently, avoid knock, insolation and rain.
Storage: industrial 3-Chloropropyne should be kept in low temp., ventilating, dry and dark place.
