Allyl Alcohol Applications
Allyl alcohol is an intermediate in pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and fragrances. Its main derivatives and their uses include: synthesis of epichlorohydrin, glycerol, 1,4-butanediol, and allyl ketone; and production of plasticizers and engineering plastics, among other important organic synthetic raw materials. Furthermore, its carbonates can be used in optical resins, safety glass, and displays, while its ethers can be used as tackifiers for polymers.
