Dibromomethane Applications
It is used as a raw material in organic synthesis, and can be used as a solvent, refrigerant, flame retardant, and anti-knock agent component. In medicine, it is used as a disinfectant and analgesic.
As a pesticide intermediate, it is a major raw material for synthesizing novel, highly effective, and broad-spectrum fungicides, and also a raw material for large-tonnage acaricides.
Dibromomethane is an excellent flame retardant. Adding dibromomethane to polymers effectively reduces the heat of combustion during plastic burning.
