Use of Dibutyl Sebacate
1. Cold-resistant plasticizer for synthetic rubber.
2. Fragrance, mainly used in the formulation of fruit-based flavorings. Plasticizer (used in packaging materials).
3. This product is non-toxic and can be used in food contact packaging materials, producing products with a good feel. It is used as a plasticizer for many synthetic rubbers, giving the products excellent low-temperature performance and oil resistance. Its main disadvantage is significant volatilization loss; it is easily extracted by water, soapy water, and detergent solutions, therefore it is often used in combination with phthalate plasticizers.
4. Gas chromatography stationary phase; also used in fragrance formulation and organic synthesis.
