Diethylene glycol monobutyl ether (DBME): Primarily used as a PVC stabilizer and widely applied in electronic chemical cleaning agents. It is also used as a solvent in coatings, printing inks, stamp pad inks, oils, and resins. Additionally, it can be used as a metal detergent, paint remover, lubricant, automotive engine detergent, dry cleaning solvent, epoxy resin solvent, and pharmaceutical extractant. Furthermore, it serves as a stabilizer for latex paints, an evaporation inhibitor for aircraft coatings, and a surface finishing improver for high-temperature baked enamels. It is also used as an intermediate in plasticizer production and as a diluent for hydraulic brake fluids. Additionally, it is used in the production of piperityl butoxy compounds.
