N-Propyl Alcohol Applications
N-Propyl Alcohol is a key raw material for the production of n-propyl acetate, a green and environmentally friendly food printing ink. It is also a major raw material for pesticides such as n-propylamine and di-n-propylamine, as well as cleaning agents like bromopropane and ethylene glycol monopropyl ether.
N-Propyl Alcohol itself is also an excellent solvent, used as a special solvent for aniline printing inks, particularly for printing on polyolefin and polyamide films.
Furthermore, N-Propyl Alcohol can be used as a solvent for cellulose carboxymethylation, a gelling agent for cellulose acetate, and a plasticizer.
N-Propyl Alcohol is also an important pharmaceutical intermediate, used in the production of erythromycin, probenecid, sodium valproate, cyclophosphamide, the adhesive hemostatic agent BCA, thiopropylthiocyanate, and dipropyl 2,5-pyridinedicarboxylate, among other pharmaceutical raw materials.
Storage:
N-Propyl Alcohol is volatile and flammable at room temperature. It must be stored and transported in sealed containers, away from fire sources, and kept at low temperatures.
