Description
Phosphoric acid is a widely used acid that has a significant role in various industries, particularly in the production of fertilizers. Its salts, known as phosphates, are mainly utilized in agriculture and domestic applications. Phosphoric acid is a weak acid, also known as orthophosphoric acid. This nomenclature distinguishes it from other phosphoric acids like polyphosphoric acid. It's also referred to as phosphoric(V) acid.
