Propylene glycol diacetate Applications
Propylene glycol diacetate (PGDA) is an environmentally friendly, high-boiling-point solvent. It is primarily used in high-requirement coatings, PCB inks, electronic inks, water glass curing agents, water-based adhesives, and casting organic ester curing agents. PGDA has a mild minty odor and is an excellent alternative solvent to dimethyl bis(ethylene glycol) ester (DBE), propylene glycol methyl ether acetate (PMA), PM, and cyclohexanone (CYC). Because its raw materials are low in toxicity, widely available, environmentally friendly, safe, and non-flammable, it can also be used in coatings and inks to replace isophorone 783, CAC, ethylene glycol monobutyl ether (anti-whitening agent), propylene glycol ether ester solvents, cyclohexanone, diacetone alcohol (DAA), cresol, and other solvents.
