4,4'-Oxybis(benzenesulfonyl hydrazide) (OBSH), CAS 80-51-3, also known as 4,4'-Oxydibenzenesulfonyl Hydrazide and p,p'-Oxybis(benzenesulfonyl hydrazide), is an organic sulfonyl hydrazide chemical blowing agent.
OBSH is widely used in rubber, plastics and polymer processing. Under suitable processing conditions, it decomposes and releases gases that help form a fine and uniform cellular structure in polymer materials.
Compared with some higher-temperature blowing agents, OBSH has a relatively moderate decomposition temperature, making it suitable for various rubber and thermoplastic foaming applications.
