Sodium Methoxide, CAS 124-41-4, is an alkali metal alkoxide and strong base. It is also known as Sodium Methylate and Sodium Methanolate.
Sodium Methoxide is widely used as a chemical reagent, strong base and catalyst in organic synthesis and industrial chemical manufacturing. It is commonly used in transesterification, condensation and other base-promoted chemical reactions.
The product is widely used in biodiesel production, pharmaceutical intermediates, agrochemical intermediates, fine chemicals and other specialty chemical manufacturing processes.

Applications of Sodium Methoxide
1. Used as a basic condensing agent and catalyst in organic synthesis (e.g., for fragrances and dyes) and as a raw material for Vitamin B1, Vitamin A, and sulfadiazine; it serves as a condensing agent in organic synthesis and a catalyst in the processing of edible oils and fats, and is a key raw material for synthesizing drugs such as sulfaguanidine, sulfamethoxazole, and sulfonamide synergists.
2. Primarily used as a raw material for pharmaceuticals and pesticides, as well as in the dye and chemical fiber industries; also acts as a catalyst for fat transesterification.
