TMTD (TT) Rubber Accelerator (CAS 137-26-8), also known as Tetramethylthiuram Disulfide, is an important thiuram-type rubber vulcanization accelerator and sulfur donor.
TMTD provides fast vulcanization performance and is widely used in natural rubber and various synthetic rubber compounds. It can be used as a primary accelerator, secondary accelerator or sulfur donor in sulfur vulcanization systems, depending on the rubber formulation and curing requirements.
TMTD is commonly used together with thiazole, sulfenamide and other rubber accelerators to improve curing efficiency and optimize vulcanization performance.

Applications of TMTD (TT) Rubber Accelerator
This product is used in the rubber industry as a super-accelerator for vulcanization; it is often employed in combination with thiazole accelerators or other accelerators for continuous rubber processing. Since it slowly releases free sulfur at temperatures above 100°C, it can also function as a vulcanizing agent. Finished products exhibit excellent aging and heat resistance. It is suitable for both natural and synthetic rubber and is primarily used in the manufacture of industrial products such as tires, inner tubes, rubber footwear, and cables. In agriculture, it serves as a fungicide and insecticide, and it also finds application as a lubricant additive.
