Applications of Zinc Bromide
Zinc Bromide is mainly used in the oil and gas industry to prepare high-density clear brine fluids for well drilling, completion and workover operations. Its aqueous solutions help provide the fluid density required for downhole pressure control.
It is also used as a Lewis acid catalyst in organic synthesis, in specialty chemical manufacturing, and in certain electrochemical systems such as zinc-bromine batteries.
